EARTHENWARE
The Faïencerie de Gien, created in 1821, is part of one of the greatest expertise of the Val-de-Loire. Its creator, Thomas Hall, bought the building of the comptoir des Minimes located on the banks of the Loire. At the time, the town of Gien had many advantages: it was an important commercial crossroads, it had many raw materials and the Loire River allowed wood to be transported from Orléans for the firing kilns.
At the beginning, earthenware collections were often white and classic, but as time went by and tastes evolved, more and more creative and artistic models were created.
Today, on My Little Chateau, we offer you the black flowers collection, which combines simplicity and precision, and the white cabbage bridge collection, classic and timeless.
