This fabric is printed by hand by artisans in India. This is called "blockprint" or hand-carved woodblock printing. The charm of the fabric comes from its natural colours, its touch and its irregularities due to the printing technique.
Here, the floral prints on both sides respond to each other without being quite the same.
Flowers in shades of red, yellow and white illuminate the old pink background and give the cushion a modern look with an old-fashioned charm.
