This fabric is hand printed by artisans in India. This is called "blockprint" or hand carved wood stamp printing. The charm of the fabric comes from its natural colours, touch and irregularities due to the printing technique.
Here, the floral prints on both sides respond to each other without being quite the same.
The flowers in shades of red, yellow and white illuminate the old pink background and give the cushion a modern look with an old-fashioned charm.
